Course Schedule: Quadcopter Workshop

Day 1

Morning

• Introduction to Quadcopters:
  Overview of quadcopter technology, components, and applications.
• Principles of Flight and Stability:
  Understanding lift, thrust, yaw, pitch, roll, and stabilization mechanisms.
• Design Planning & Sizing:
  • Frame selection and sizing for different applications.
  • Calculating thrust-to-weight ratio and motor requirements.
  • Choosing suitable electronics: ESCs, motors, and propellers.

Afternoon

• Materials and Construction Techniques:
  Introduction to quadcopter frames made of carbon fiber, aluminum, and composite materials.
• Hands-on Building of a Trainer Quadcopter:
  Guided assembly of a simple trainer quadcopter under expert supervision.

Day 2

Morning

• Integration of Electronics and Calibration:
  • Installing flight controllers, motors, ESCs, batteries, and receivers.
  • Configuring software (e.g., Betaflight) for calibration and flight optimization.
• Design and Building a Performance Quadcopter:
  Basics of designing a performance quadcopter for speed and maneuverability. Start assembling the model.

Afternoon

• Completion of the Performance Quadcopter:
  Final assembly and system checks.
• Flight Test and Demonstration:
  Expert pilots will demonstrate the capabilities of both the trainer and performance quadcopters built during the course. Participants will have supervised practice flights.
